Main Street small businesses across the city are key to making our neighbourhoods so vibrant and interesting. With the current COVID-19 crisis, our favourite independent retailers and restaurants are at high risk of closing forever. These are hardworking individuals who’ve put their life savings into their business and have created jobs in our community. A select few hope to endure this crisis by providing take-out food to their community… but still have to pay rent and staff.
If you eat food and still have a paycheque… YOU CAN HELP! Here’s what we’re doing at Lokaal:
Support your local independent Corso Italia or Regal Heights restaurant during the COVID-19 crisis and get dollar-for-dollar credit toward a Lokaal coworking Hot Desk membership.
Simply order take-out from your favourite INDEPENDENT local Corso Italia restaurant, save your take-out food order receipts between March 15th and April 30th, 2020 and present them to us. We’ll give you a dollar-for-dollar credit toward a future monthly Hot Desk Membership up to a value of $235 (one month Hot Desk membership).
Receipt value is BEFORE taxes and not including alcohol.
Qualifying restaurants must be independently owned (ie not chain restaurants) in the Corso Italia or Regal Heights BIA, along St. Clair West between Oakwood Ave (to the east), and the JJP Community Centre to the west, including but not limited to:

Maximum redemption value per person, $235 before tax. You do not need to collect $235 in receipts to earn credits. Whatever value you collect can be used toward the value of a month of Hot Desk membership.
The availability of the free month membership may depend on the availability of Hot Desk memberships for your desired month (space capacity). At this time it is not known how soon Lokaal will be able to re-open but will do so as soon as authorities deem it safe. Free memberships will be subject to the standard Lokaal terms and conditions agreement.
